Counseling on balanced nutrition guidelines is an effective strategy to overcome nutrition problems in primary school children. Counseling is constrained because until now balanced nutrition guidelines have not been included in the curriculum of primary school education, including primary schools in Palembang City. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of puzzle media education on knowledge and attitudes about balanced nutrition in elementary school children in Palembang city. This research is quantitative in nature using quasi-experimental research design and pre-test post-test with control group design. The sample of this study amounted to 96 respondents consisting of 48 respondents in the experimental group given puzzle media education and 48 respondents in the control group given leaflet media education. Sampling was done by purposive sampling.
