This study aims to describe the reading comprehension skills of Grade IV A students at SD N 5 Indralaya in non-fiction texts about My Hero, the Sub-theme of the Struggle of Heroes. This research was did using descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used are tests and documentation. The results of this study indicate that students' reading comprehension skills in non-fiction texts is classified in the poor category with an average of 51. This can be seen in the average of the two assessment aspects, namely the aspect of identifying information, obtaining an average of 51, 85 while in the aspect of concluding the contents of the reading has an average of 49.55. With the details of a total of 33 students, in the aspect of Identifying Information there is 1 student who is in the very good category in reading comprehension ability, 2 students are in the good category, 7 students are in the sufficient category, 10 students are in the poor category, and 13 students are students belong to the failed category. Whereas in the aspect of concluding the contents of the reading, there are 2 students classified as very good category, 5 students classified as good category, 1 student classified as sufficient category, 7 students classified as poor category, and 18 students classified as failed category.
