One of the government's efforts to control the population's birthrate, regulate birth spacing, avoid unwanted pregnancies so as to reduce MMR and IMR (maternal and infant mortality rates) is the Family Planning or Family Planning Program. The type of contraception that has higher effectiveness, isefficient and effective in cost and time and provides long-term protection is the Long Active Reversible Contraceptive (LARC). However, the attainment of LARC acceptors is still very low because many people still choose non-LARC. This study aims to determine the perceptions of women, spouse's support and the role of health workers who influence decisions regarding LARC in the city of Palembang. Research. This research uses a qualitative method with a Feminist Participatory Action Research (FPAR) Study approach. The sampling technique uses Purposive Sampling. The informants were 21 people, namely women who were married and had children, husbands or spouses, and health workers at the Community Health Center. The results of the research show that people are reluctant to use LARC because they have a perceived threat to LARC, then they consider perceived obstacles more highly than perceived benefits, and the minimal role of health workers influences the low use of LARC, but spouse's support has no influence on LARC use. Conclusion: The low use of LARC is due to mothers having a perceived threat of concern regarding LARC, considering perceived obstacles more than the benefits they will get and the minimal role of health workers in providing counseling and counseling to women of childbearing age while husbands do not forbid their wives and give their wives the freedom to use the method. whatever. It is hoped that health workers can be more active in providing counseling and education to the community regarding the benefits of LARC.
