HUBUNGAN ANTARA DIABETES MELITUS DENGAN KEJADIAN STROKE PADA USIA PRODUKTIF DI PROVINSI D.I. YOGYAKARTA (ANALISIS DATA RISKESDAS 2018)
Stroke is the second reason for death and third reason for disability in the world. Stroke used to be called as a disease for old people, but as the increase of risk behavior that the young people do made an increase for incidence of stroke in young people. This study aim to analyze the relationship between diabetes mellitus and the incidence of stroke in productive age in D.I. Yogyakarta province. The study used the cross sectional study design secondary data Indonesian Basic Health Survey 2018 with the multistage sampling. The sample in this study were people at age 15 – 64 years in D.I. Yogyakarta Province. Bivariate analysis using chi-square test and multivariate analysis using double logistic regression test risk factors model. The result of univariate analysis shows that 0,7% respondence has suffered from stroke and 2,5% respondence has diabetes mellitus. The bivariate analysis shows that there was a significant relationship between diabetes mellitus (P-Value < 0,001) with incidence of stroke in productive age in D.I.Yogyakarta Province. Multivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between diabetes mellitus and incidence of stroke in productive age in D.I. Yogyakarta Province (P-Value = 0,002; PR =7,286; CI = 2,102 – 25,255) after controlled by variabel heart disease, hypertension, gender, eating fatty food, physical activity, and smoking behavior. People at the productive age should do a healthy lifestyle and do early detection for diabetes mellitus.
