The incidence of diarrhea in South Sumatra Province is the second of the top 10 disease cases. The prevalence of diarrhea among toddlers in the Social Health Center working area was 43,6% in 2021. Based on previous research, the risk factors for diarrheal disease are host, environment and agent. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene, home sanitation and fly density with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers in settlements around the Sukawinatan landfill. This study used a cross sectional study design with purposive sampling technique which was carried out randomly as many as 75 toddlers. Analysis techniques were univariate, bivariate using chi-square and multivariate with multiple logistic regression test prediction model. The variables of this study that did not have a significant relationship with the incidence of diarrhea were hand washing with soap (HWWS) behavior, clean water facilities, latrine facilities, sewerage facilities (SPAL) and garbage disposal facilities (p-value> 0,05). The research variable that had a significant relationship with the incidence of diarrhea was fly density (p-value = 0,025). The results of multivariate analysis showed that fly density was the most dominant variable affecting the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers after being controlled by the variables of hand washing with soap (HWWS) behavior and waste disposal facilities (p-value = 0,019; PR = 6,616; 95%CI = 1,373-31,877). The conclusion of this study is that the factor associated with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers is fly density. So it is recommended that the community improve and maintain hygiene and sanitation of the home environment to reduce risk factors for diarrhea.
