Pesticides are widely used as chemicals that help farmers increase agricultural productivity. Pesticide use that creates an imbalance with the proper pesticide application will impact farmers’ health. One of the impacts is hypertension because the pesticide inhibits acetylcholinesterase enzyme performance. This study aimed to analyze the correlations between the characteristics and behavior of using pesticides and the incidence of hypertension among rice farmers in Kebun Tebu District, West Lampung Regency, in 2023. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The samples for the study were taken by purposive random sampling, consisting of 104 respondents. The data were collected by interview using a questionnaire and checklist paper for observation, and blood tension was measured with an ABN manual sphygmomanometer. The data were analyzed using a univariate frequency distribution the variabel studied, a bivariate chi-square test with a 95% confidence level, and a multivariate multiple logistic regression test. The study results using the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between age (p = 0,023), knowledge level (p = 0,044), and practice (p = 0,032) and the incidence of hypertension among rice farmers. Meanwhile, there was no relationship between work length (p = 0,115) and attitude (p = 0,650) and the incidence of hypertension among rice farmers. The multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression showed that age (PR = 5,75) and practice (PR = 3,175) were the dominant factors after controlling for work length and knowledge level. The conclusion of the study was that the dominant factors that caused hypertension inciden among rice farmers were age and practice
