ANALISIS KORELASI SANITASI DASAR RUMAH TANGGA DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DI KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR TAHUN 2021
Stunting is a nutritional problem in children that cannot be treated. Stunting is a condition in children where the child's height and length are lower than children of his age. Based on the stunting prevalence rate, Ogan Ilir district always experiences a decline in prevalence every year, in 2021 the prevalence of stunting in Ogan Ilir district is 29.2% but this figure is still far from the national target of 14%. This study aims to see the correlation between basic household sanitation with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Ogan Ilir District. This analysis uses independent variables, namely families with inadequate drinking water sources, inadequate toilet facilities, open defecation behavior, physical conditions of roofs, walls, floors of houses that are not suitable for habitation, and family status at risk of stunting. Stunting events as the dependent variable. The sample of this research is 241 villages. This research is quantitative analytic research with a correlation study design. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate person correlation tests. The results of this study indicate that the variables associated with the incidence of stunting in toddlers are families with inadequate sources of drinking water (p=0.009), families with inadequate toilet facilities (p=0.000), families with open defecation behavior (p = 0.000), and families at risk of stunting (p = 0.000) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers, while the physical condition variables of the roof (p = 0.575), walls (p = 0.110), and floors (p = 0.086) the house is an uninhabitable relationship with the incidence of stunting. Suggestions to the Government of Ogan Ilir Regency for innovation, synergy, and optimization in programs and monitoring related to stunting prevalence reduction programs, especially related to environmental sanitation.
