PENGARUH KONSENTRASI CAIRAN PENDINGIN DARI BAHAN EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK PADA PROSES PEMBUBUTAN
This study used an experimental method which included the corrosion rate process in conventional lathe using soursop leaf extract as a cooling medium, then testing was carried out using 66% sulfuric acid and soaked for 72 hours with the weight loss method, the turning process was carried out on steel ST 37, ST 41 and ST 60 using variations of soursop leaf extract by 33% and 25%. The results showed that the greater the soursop leaf extract, the lower the corrosion rate obtained. The highest corrosion rate was found in a 25% solution on ST 37 steel which was 2,804 mpy and the lowest corrosion rate was found in a 33% solution on ST 60 steel which was 2,080 mpy. From the research results it is known that all carbon steel and soursop leaf extract have different corrosion rates.
