This research aims to analyze the allocation of school land as Green Open Space (GOS), the percentage of land allocation, the participation of school residents in the maintenance and management of GOS and adiwiyata programs related to GOS, also the types of Spermatophyta plants found in the GOS of SMA Negeri 17 Palembang. This research follows a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. 1) The research results indicate based on the land allocation mapping of the school, the land is utilized as a school garden, a green house, a school garden, TOGA, tree areas, and potted plants; 2) The percentage of land used as GOS is 31.04%; 3) School residents participate actively in GOS management and maintenance, with specialized teachers in the adiwiyata team and students in the environmental lover group overseeing, cleaning, and caring for GOS; 4) The types of plants in GOS are dominated by Spermatophyta plants and vary in the form of trees, shrubs, and bushes; 5) School residents actively participate in the implementation of adiwiyata programs according to participatory principles, utilizing Green Open Space as a learning medium, forming special adiwiyata teacher teams, and establishing student ambassadors for environmental conservation. In conclusion, the utilization of school land at SMA Negeri 17 Palembang as Green Open Space has been maximized, and the participation of school residents in its management has been well executed.
