HUBUNGAN INTENSITAS KEBISINGAN TERHADAP KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI PADA PEKERJA INDUSTRI TUSUK SATE.
In the production process the skewer industry uses several types of machines which cause noise in the production area. Exposure to noise for a long time can trigger hypertension in workers. This study analyzed the relationship between noise intensity and the incidence of hypertension in skewer industrial workers. The study used a cross sectional study and a total sample of 49 respondents. Measuring tools used in this research are Sound Level Meter and Aneroid Sphygmomanometer. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi Square test show that there is a relationship between noise intensity (p-value=0.006), use of ear protection (p-value=0,008), smoking habits (p-value=0.009), exercise habits (p-value=0.001), there is nothing relationship between age (p-value=0.898) and gender (p-value=1,000) to the incidence of hypertension in skewer industry workers. It can be concluded from the six variables that there is a statistically significant relationship between noise intensity, use of ear protection, smoking habits, and exercise habits on the incidence of hypertension and statistically there is no statistically significant relationship between age and gender with incidence of hypertension in the skewer industry workers.
