HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN TINGKAT PARTISIPASI IBU PADA KEGIATAN POSYANDU DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA USIA 6-59 BULAN DI POSYANDU MELATI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KERTAPATI.
Posyandu is a community-based health effort that is managed and organized by the community. The main function of Posyandu is to maintain the growth of toddlers. Monitoring during the toddler years is important, if the toddler's growth is disturbed, it cannot be corrected in the next age period. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out routine monitoring so that if there are deviations they can be corrected immediately. One factor that can influence Posyandu participation is knowledge, because mothers who have less knowledge will choose not to participate in Posyandu activities. Weighing indicators at Posyandu (D/S) in Palembang City have not reached the Minimum Service Standard target for the last 5 years and malnutrition status also continues to fluctuate. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and maternal participation in posyandu activities and the relationship between maternal participation in posyandu activities and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-59 months at Posyandu Melati in the working area of the Kertapati Community Health Center. This research is quantitative observational using a cross sectional approach. The sample for this research was 73 toddlers aged 6-59 months taken using purposive sampling technique. The statistical analysis used is the Chi-Square test and Binary Logistic Regression. The results of the study showed that the majority of mothers had sufficient knowledge and participation was not good (61.3%), in the knowledge variable with level of participation, the p-value = 0.01, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and level of participation. Meanwhile, in the participation variable with nutritional status, the majority of mothers had poor participation levels with abnormal nutritional status (64.7%) and obtained p-value = 0.48, so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between participation level and nutritional status. toddler.
