HUBUNGAN INTERDIALYTIC WEIGHT GAIN (IDWG) DAN STATUS GIZI DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN PENYAKIT GINJAL KRONIK YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG.
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is kidney organ disorder caused by decreasing kidney function permanently. Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) and malnutrition are common problems in patients undergoing hemodialysis which can have an impact on the patient's quality of life. This study aimed to determine the relationship between Interdialytic Weight Gain (IDWG) and nutritional status with the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The research design uses observational analytic with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were 102 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang with purposive sampling technique and has inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study used univariate and bivariate data analysis with Fisher Exact test and α = 0.05. The results showed that most of the respondents had mild IDWG (61.8%), good nutritional status (64.7%), and poor quality of life (89.2%). The analysis results of the analysis showed there is a relationship between IDWG and quality of life (p=0.048) PR 1,158 (1,029-1,304). There is a relationship between nutritional status and quality of life (p=0.047) PR 1,162 (1,031-1,311). It is suggested that health workers in the Hemodialysis Unit can provide programs to support the patient's quality of life and record the patient's weight regularly to facilitate monitoring of nutritional status.
