The primary dysmenorrhea is pain during menstruation that many women of reproductive age complain about. There are many things that can be risk factors for primary dysmenorrhea. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between nutritional status and physical activity with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in students of the Faculty of Public Health Sriwijaya University. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The targetpopulation in this study is all undergraduate students of Sriwijaya University and the study population is all students of the Faculty of Public Health. The sample in the study was 140 female students in the Faculty of Public Health Sriwijaya University selected based on proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were digital body weight scales, microtoise and Global Physical Activity Questionnare (GPAQ). The results of univariate analysis obtained female students who have primary dysmenorrhea is 81.4%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed there are significant relationships between undernutrition status (p-value=0.020), overnutrition status (p-value=0.048), light physical activity (p-value=0.004) and moderate physical activity (p-value=0.009) with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. There are relationships between menarche age (p-value=0,043) and biological family history of primary dysmenorrhea (p-value=0,005) with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. There are no relationships between the duration of menstruation (p-value=0,736) and menstrual cycle (p-value=1,00) with the incidence of the primary dysmenorrhea. Female students with less nutritional status and more nutritional status, light physical activity and medium physical activity, menarche age and family history of primary dysmenorrhea are at risk of primary dysmenorrhea. It is recommended for female students to maintain normal nutritional status, consume nutritious food and physical activity routine.
