Parenting patterns an important role in school-age children, parents should pay more attention especially in providing nutritional fulfillment. Often skipping breakfast for a long time can have a negative impact on the health and snacking habits consumed by school children. Breakfast is the first source of energy before doing activities, especially in school children. This study aims to determine the description of parenting patterns, school children's breakfast habits and school children's snacking habits using qualitative descriptive methods. The data collection technique used in-depth interview methode on 15 people who were divided into 6 parent informants, 6 student informants and 3 homeroom informants. The results showed that parenting tends to be mostly the mother who regulates, and for the most respected / obeyed, the father. Parents always direct children to have breakfast, but there were still children who did not have breakfast for several reasons. The types of breakfast that were often consumed were nasi uduk, fried rice and noodles. Parents direct their kids on which snacks are allowed and which are not. The frequency of children's snacks is 2 times a day, including at school and at home. The types of snacks that were often consumed were ciki, fried foods, ice and sausages. The pocket money given to school is Rp.10,000 - Rp.20,000. Suggestions for parents are expected to get used to bringing children's lunch to school.
