HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF TERHADAP KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA BALITA DENGAN IBU PEKERJA DI SUMATERA SELATAN (ANALISIS DATA RISKESDAS 2018).
Stunting is still a health problem in toddlers. According to the Ministry of Health, stunting can be prevented by exclusive breastfeeding for children. However, many factors hinder mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding, one of which is the mother's employment status. This study aims to analyze the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with working mothers in South Sumatra. This study used secondary data from Riskesdas 2018 with a cross sectional research design. Sampling using multistage random sampling with a sample of 59 respondents. The research sample was toddlers aged 6-59 months in South Sumatra who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis using univariate analysis, bivariate on complex samples and stratification. The results showed that the prevalence of stunted children was 30.3% and the percentage of toddlers who were not exclusively breastfed was 39.9%. The results of bivariate analysis showed no significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting (p value = 0.409; PR = 1.522; 95%CI = 0.544-4.429). Stratification analysis showed that there was no influence of all candidate confounding variables on the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in toddlers with working mothers in South Sumatra. Working mothers should be able to maintain their own health by exercising, maintaining a diet and adequate rest for breast milk production.
