Cooking oil is one of the needs of the community that is commonly used in the cooking process. In the repeated use of cooking oil, it can cause trans fatty acids, this can affect the metabolism of blood fat profile which can cause blockage of blood vessels or atherosclerosis as well as high blood pressure, stroke and coronary heart disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the behavior of housewives in using cooking oil in Simpang Campang Village. Quantitative research design with cross sectional design. The sample in this study was 88 people with purposive sampling sample technique. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The data is then presented in a table with a narrative to interpret the data. The results of the bivariate analysis stated that there was no relationship between age (p value = 0,332) and the number of family members (p value = 0,072) with the behavior of mothers in using cooking oil in Simpang Campang Village, while there was a relationship between education (p value = 0,023), employment (p value = 0,012), income (p value = 0,019), knowledge (p value = 0,000) with mother's behavior in using cooking oil in Simpang Campang Village. Based on the results of this study, there were 72,7% less maternal knowledge and 76,1% of mothers' behavior was lacking in the use of cooking oil.
