Poor basic sanitation aspects of the house can affect the incidence of diarrhea in an area. The basic sanitation aspects of houses in settlements around the Kelekar River in Indralaya District are still lacking. The practice of giving complementary food by mothers to infants can affect the health status of infants. This study aims to analyze the relationship between basic home sanitation conditions and complementary feeding for infants aged 6-24 months in settlements around Sungai Kelekar, Indralaya District. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique used was Proportional Random Sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS software with chi-square test. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between the type of house floor (p-value 0.034), clean water source (p-value 0.021), SPAL condition (p-value 0.038), frequency of complementary feeding (p-value 0.020) with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers; while the variable condition of landfills (p-value 0.563) and age of complementary feeding (p-value 0.917) did not show a relationship with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. It was concluded that basic sanitation conditions such as type of house floor, clean water source, condition of SPAL are risk factors for diarrhea; other factors such as frequency of complementary feeding increase the risk of diarrhea in children under five.
