UNICEF states that there are currently 765 million children who are married. Bangka Belitung is the province with the highest prevalence of early marriage on the island of Sumatera, reaching 18.76%. Toboali Sub-district in South Bangka Regency is the location of a high prevalence of early marriage at 29%, where one of the contributors is Serdang Village which has a culture of mass marriage (Kawin Haderek). This study aims to examine the economic, cultural, and social role aspects related to adolescents' decision to marry at an early age in Serdang Village. This study used a qualitative approach and involved 22 informants. The key informants consisted of 8 teenagers who were involved in early marriage and 8 parents or relatives of teenagers. The teenagers who became informants in this study were those with first marriage status at the age of 15-19 years. Meanwhile, expert key informants include the Head of DKPPKB, Head of Population Control, traditional leaders, religious leaders, community leaders, and youth leaders. Researchers used content analysis techniques in the data analysis process. The results of this study show that the factors that encourage the desire to marry include limited costs for daily needs and education, as well as parental divorce which has an impact on children's economic security. In addition, the culture of mass marriage and the lack of social roles also trigger early marriage. So that it is necessary to mature the minimum age of the bride and groom to avoid the negative impact of marriage at early marriage age.
