PERSEPSI KARYAWAN TERHADAP KESIAPAN WORK FROM OFFICE (WFO) PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI KOTA PALEMBANG
The Government of Palembang City has implemented a policy requiring all employees, including Civil Servants (ASN) and non-ASN, to perform work activities at the workplace (WFO). The data from the full return to work from office (WFO) policy indicates that many employees are not prepared and enthusiastic about returning to work in the office completely, suggesting that this working pattern cannot be implemented immediately. This study aims to examine employees' perceptions of readiness to returning Work From Office (WFO). This study is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. It used purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 93 employees from DPPKB and PT.Telkom in Palembang City, who implemented work-from-home (WFH) system during the COVID-19 pandemic. The data was collected through google form and analyzed using chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. The results show that 38 respondents (40.9%) are unprepared for a full return to work in the office (WFO). Variables related to WFO readiness are performance accomplishment (P-value 0.012), vicarious learning (P-value 0.000), verbal encouragement (P-value 0.000), and emotional state (P-value 0.001). The most dominant variable influencing employees' perception of WFO readiness is the vicarious learning (P-value = 0,001 ; PR = 12,283 ; 95% CI = (2,860-52,749). Therefore, it is expected that the Palembang City Government, in determining policies, should consider alternative options such as a hybrid or work from anywhere system to enhance employee performance instead of requiring all employees to return to the office (WFO).
