KORELASI ASUPAN CAIRAN, KALIUM, DAN NATRIUM DENGAN INTERDIALYTIC WEIGHT GAIN (IDWG) PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK DENGAN HEMODIALISA RUTIN DI RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Hemodialysis is performed on Chronic Renal Failure patients as a treatment. One of the problems that often occurs in CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis is an increase in IDWG. There are several factors that can improve IDWG. This study aims to determine the relationship between fluid, potassium and sodium intake and IDWG in CKD patients on routine hemodialysis at Dr Mohammad Hoesin Hospital, Palembang. This type of research is analytical observational using a cross sectional design. The research sample consisted of 62 people selected using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that the majority were 59 respondents (95.2%) aged 15 - 64 years. The majority of respondents were female, 38 respondents (61.3%), 44 respondents (71%) had done HD for more than 1 year. The average fluid intake of respondents was 873.54, the average potassium intake of respondents was 706.23 and the average sodium intake was 1254.47. The results of this study showed that fluid intake (p-value = 0.022) and sodium (p-value = 0.049) had a significant correlation with IDWG with a unidirectional relationship, while no significant correlation was found between potassium intake (p = 0.062) and IDWG . The advice from this research is that CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis should be able to limit foods that are high in sodium and adhere to fluid restrictions as recommended.
