Stunting is a chronic condition that indicates failure to thrive due to long-term malnutrition and or a history of recurrent chronic infectious diseases. The prevalence of stunting in Palembang City in 2021 is still quite high. This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding patterns with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 6-24 months in the working area of the Taman Bacaan Health Center, Palembang City. This study used a cross sectional research design. The sampling technique was taken by incidental sampling. The study sample was 64 toddlers aged 6-24 months. Data analysis used chi-square test with 95% confidence level. The results showed that there was a relationship between exclusive breastfeeding (p-value = 0.007 and PR = 4.286), age of complementary feeding (p-value = 0.001 and PR = 5.227), amount of complementary feeding (p-value = 0.000 and PR = 14.056), and safe complementary feeding (p-value = 0.050 and PR = 2.852) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 6-24 months in the working area of Puskesmas Taman Bacaan Palembang City. Meanwhile, the variables of complementary food texture, complementary food frequency and complementary food feeding method were not associated with the incidence of stunting. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, age of complementary feeding, amount of complementary feeding, safe complementary feeding and pattern of complementary feeding with the incidence of stunting in children under 6-24 months of age. It is recommended for health centers to increase counseling activities regarding stunting, exclusive breastfeeding and complementary feeding. It is also expected that the community can participate in efforts to improve nutrition, especially in toddlers.
