This research is entitled "The Development of AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding Schools in Seberang Ulu II District, Palembang City in 1999-2008". The problem in this research is how the development of AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding Schools in 1999-2008. The purpose of this research is to find out the developments that occurred at the AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School in 1999-2008. This study uses the historical method through several research stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography and approach. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School was established on April 4, 1973. The AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School experienced significant developments in 1999. This development can be seen from the various rapid progress both from the increase in Islamic boarding school buildings, the number of students, teaching staff, facilities and infrastructure as well as the many achievements that have been obtained by the students of the AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School. The developments experienced by the AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School cannot be separated from various parties including the leadership of the Islamic boarding school, educators and students who have their own way of making the AR-Riyadh Islamic Boarding School grow and develop every year.
