Coal is one of the natural resources that is much targeted by the world by having a fairly high sales price. Erratic coal selling prices can affect the income of companies, regions and even countries and surrounding communities. Therefore, a system is needed to forecast future coal prices which will later help the decision-making process for the company. Forecasting is carried out using the average based fuzzy time series lee method because based on previous research the lee method is proven to produce a smaller MAPE value because the resulting forecasting results are close to the actual value. In addition, this method is suitable for short-term forecasting with stationary and nonstationary data patterns and is used when historical data obtained is small so it is suitable for use in this study. This study was conducted based on 68 data obtained from January-March 2006 to October-December 2022. The lowest error value from the system test results in a MAPE value of 6.451% with parameters D1 = 10 and D2 = 150 with very good forecasting categories.
