This research was carried out with the aims of getting an overview of students argumentative abilities in evidence-based learning on congruence and similarity material. The research was carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Lahat. The subjects of this research were 21 people IX class. The data collection technique uses a wrutten test containning 4 quetions about congruence and 2 questions about similarity which werw created to measure student argumentative abilities werw divided into 5 categories, namely very good, good, sufficient, poor and very poor. From the results of the research conducted it was found that the argumentative abilities of IX class students of SMP Negeri 2 Lahat were included in the poor categorywith an average score of 32.86. Keywords: students' argumentative abilities, evidence-based learning, congruence and similarity.
