The study aims to determine the role of self determination and optimism on self efficacy in fresh graduates who are looking for work. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a role for self determination and optimism for self efficacy. The reseacrh was conducted using a quantitative method with the number of respondents in the study as many as 158 fresh graduates who has completed their education in tertiary institutions for no more than six months, aged 20-25 years, had no work experience and were looking for work. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measurement tool used is the self determination scale which refers to the Ryan and Deci dimension (2017), the optimism scale refers to the Seligman dimension (2006) and the self efficacy scale referes to the Bandura dimension (1997). Data analysis in this study was carried out using multiple regression techniques.
