Background: The dental health clinic is one of the service institutions that has been directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic because it has to make direct contact with patients who are receiving procedures, especially scaling procedures using an ultrasonic scaler. The increasing cost of consumables can affect the increase in costs in independent dental practices. Method: This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Results: The results of the study show that the cost of scaling rates before the pandemic was Rp.150,000-250,000 for 83.3% of respondents. And the scaling rates during the pandemic were Rp.300,000-400,000 for 65.0% of respondents. As many as 100% of respondents conveyed changes in tariff costs by way of socialization, changes in scaling tariff costs were influenced by the use of PPE by 66.7%. Conclusion: The results that have been obtained as a whole can be concluded that the description of the scaling costs before and during the COVID-19 pandemic there was a change in tariff increases. This is influenced by the increased use of PPE, additional medical equipment, facilities and restrictions on the number of patients.
