ANGKA KEBERHASILAN TERAPI REVASKULARISASI PADA PASIEN INFARK MIOKARD AKUT DENGAN ELEVASI SEGMEN ST (STEMI) DI RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG DIMASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Background: Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) is known as a disruption in blood flow to the heart caused by coronary artery blockage due to the rupture of blood vessels and plaque resulting in myocardial ischemia. AMI episodes require immediate revascularization therapy to decrease the morbidity and mortality in patients. The purpose of this study is to determine the success rate of revascularization therapy in STEMI cases at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This study is a descriptive study using secondary data with a cross-sectional approach. The data was then taken from the medical records of patients with acute myocardial infarction and STEMI which fit the inclusion dan exclusion criteria in RSUP dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang from July 2021 – August 2022. The sampling technique was total sampling with univariate data analysis. The computerized data processing was carried out by cross tabulation. Result: From 35 patients who received Primary PCI therapy, 30 patients showed improvement in symptoms. As many as 27 patients were declared successful in the medical records, of which 2 patients received Rescue PCI and 6 other patients passed away. Meanwhile, 3 of 4 patients who underwent streptokinase thrombolysis were declared unsuccessful in the medical records, with 2 patients requiring rescue PCI and 1 patient passed away. Only 1 patient was treated with alteplase and declared successful in the medical records Conclusion: The univariate analysis states that Primary PCI is the most frequently choice by clinicians and shows a high success rate for revascularization therapy compared to thrombolysis therapy (streptokinase and alteplase). Keywords: ST Elevation Miokard Infark (STEMI), Primary Percutaneous Intervention (PPI), Fibrinolytic Therapy
