IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INQUIRY DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PPKN KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 2 PLAKAT TINGGI
This research aims to see how the implementation of the learning modelinquiry and its influence on students' critical thinking skills in class VIII PPKn subjects at SMP Negeri 2 Plakat Tinggi. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach to the methodquasi experimental design. The research population is all class VIII SMPN 2 Plakat Tinggi with a total of 108 students. The sampling technique of this study uses the technique purposive sampling, The samples taken were VIII.4 as the experimental class and VIII.3 as the control class with the total sample is 50 students. Data collection techniques using observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the learning modelinquiry effect on students' critical thinking skills. It is proven from the results of the N Gain analysis testScore the experimental class obtained a value of 0.55 which is categorized as medium, which means that the influence of the application of the inquiry learning model has moderate value in improving students' critical thinking skills. Results of statistical analysis on the testindependent sample t-test with value resultsthemselves namely 0.000 ˂ 0.05 which means the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and (Ho) is rejected. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of the learning modelinquiry effect on the critical ability of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Plakat Tinggi.
