HUBUNGAN KARAKTERISTIK SOSIODEMOGRAFIDAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TERHADAP KEJADIAN PEDIKULOSIS KAPITIS DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-ITTIFAQIAH INDRALAYA
Introduction: Pediculosis capitis is a disease caused by obligate ectoparasites called Pediculus humanus var. capitis or head lice. Pediculus humanus var. Capitis moves by creeping, close contact with someone is very likely to be infected. Pediculosis capitis spreads very quickly in crowded environments, such as Islamic boarding schools and orphanages. This study aims to determine the relationship between sociodemographic characteristics and level of knowledge on the incidence of pediculosis capitis at the Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Boarding School Indralaya. Method: This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was obtained by stratified random sampling proportional. The number of samples was 118 students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data regarding sociodemographic characteristics and level of knowledge were obtained from filling out questionnaires. Data processing using SPSS with univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis.
