The main bacteria that plays an important role in the biofilm formation is Streptococcus mutans. Aloe vera has demonstrated antibiofilm activity against S. mutans and can be made into a jelly candy product. This study aims to determine the antibiofilm activity of aloe vera jelly candy against S. mutans. Method: This study used an in vitro experimental laboratory. The antibiofilm activity against S. mutans was determined using microtiter plate method (using 96 wells) on four sample groups: aloe vera jelly candy, jelly candy without aloe vera, negative control (S. mutans suspension) and media control (Brain Heart Infusion Broth). Antibiofilm activity was calculated by measuring absorbance or optical density value using a microplate reader at a wavelength 450 nm, then calculating the average of absorbance value.
