This study aims to describe the perceptions of prospective physics teachers about the inquiry learning model. The subjects in this study were physics education students in the class of 2021 at Sriwijaya University. The method used in this study is a quantitative description. Data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed that the perceptions of prospective physics teachers towards the inquiry learning model were positive. The results of the prospective physics teacher's perception of the inquiry learning model can be seen from the learning process indicator obtained by a percentage of 63% with a positive category, the experience indicator obtained by a percentage of 68% with a positive category, the horizon indicator obtained by a percentage of 67% with a positive category, the knowledge indicator obtained by a percentage of 72% with a positive category, the cognition indicators obtained by a percentage of 69% with a positive category, the affective indicator obtained a percentage of 66% with a positive category, the conation indicator obtained a percentage of 75% with a positive category, and the attitude indicator 62% with a positive category. Based on the results obtained, the researcher suggests that there is still a need for improvement in the provision of inquiry learning model material to prospective physics teachers.
