This study aims to determine the role of social connectedness and interpersonal competence on loneliness in overseas students. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a role for social connectedness and interpersonal competence on loneliness in overseas student.The sample of this study were 200 overseas students in Indonesia. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. Measuring instruments using a standard scale De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) made by Gierveld and Tillburg (2006) and has been modified, social connectedness scale that refers to aspects of Karcher (2011), and interpersonal competence scale that refers to aspects of Bochner and Kelly (1972). Data analysist in this study used multiple regression techniques.
