HUBUNGAN HIGIENE PERSONAL DENGAN KEJADIAN LEUKOREA PADA SISWI SMA METHODIST 1 PALEMBANG
Background: Leukorrhea, also known as fluor albus, vaginal discharge, or vaginal discharge, is an abnormal vaginal discharge that is non-hemorrhagic and not caused by a neoplasm or systemic disease. Data from the WHO reports that 75% of women worldwide experience leukorrhea at least once in their lifetime. Leukorrhea can be physiological and pathological. Physiological leukorrhea is usually clear to whitish in color, non-itchy, and odorless. Pathological leukorrhea is characterized by large amounts of secretions that can be yellowish, greenish or grayish in color accompanied by itching and a fishy smell. One of the risk factors that can cause leukorrhea in adolescents is poor personal hygiene. Leukorrhea in adolescents can cause a lack of confidence, interfere with daily comfort and can cause further problems. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of leukorrhea in Methodist 1 Palembang high school students. Methods: This type of research is analytic observational using cross sectional design conducted on 164 high school students of Methodist 1 Palembang. The research sampling technique was carried out using the total sampling method. Data that has been collected will be analyzed univariately and bivariately using the SPSS application. Results: Out of 164 female students, 118 female students (72%) had good personal hygiene and 46 female students (28%) had poor personal hygiene.
