This research is motivated by the importance of the existence of the teaching profession with the self-efficacy needed to support teacher competence to be able to adapt to changes in the era of society 5.0. The purpose of this study is to determine the interest of Economic Education students of the Class of 2019 Sriwijaya University to become teachers in terms of self-efficacy in facing the era of society 5.0. This study used descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this study amounted to 69 students, including 25 Palembang campus students and 44 Indralaya campus students and the sample in this study amounted to 59 students. The sampling technique uses a simple random sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis techniques are carried out by analyzing questionnaire data in the form of mean, median, mode and standard deviation, and interview data analysis. The results showed that the average interest in becoming a teacher in terms of self-efficacy in facing the era of society 5.0 in Economic Education students of Sriwijaya University Class of 2019 was 76.77% with a high category. Based on these data, it is known that Economic Education students of the Class of 2019 have a strong sense of confidence in their ability to become a teacher who is able to face challenges in changing the education system in the era of society 5.0. Based on this research, to support the level of interest in becoming a high-category teacher, students are expected to develop competencies in the 21st century era, namely the ability in terms of 4c, including Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration to be ready to face the education system in the era of society 5.0.
