This study aims to determine the efforts of the Government of Lahat Regency in promoting historical heritage of megalithic sites. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects in this study were ten informants. This study uses 4 indicators of tourism promotion efforts, namely advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, and public relations. Data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation, and observation. From the research results, it can be concluded that the efforts made by the Government of Lahat Regency in promoting historical heritage of megalithic sites are registering megalithic sites with the MURI Record in 2012 so that Lahat Regency gets the MURI record as the owner of the most megalithic sites in Indonesia, participating in exhibitions by promoting personal selling, inviting school children for city tours and educational tours to historical relics, conducting promotions with print and electronic media and working with the public in conducting promotions.
