GAMBARAN CELEBRITY WORSHIP PADA PENGGEMAR K-POP
This study aims to provide an overview of celebrity worship to K-POP fans. The hypothesis in this study is that there is an overview of celebrity worship among K-POP fans. Respondents in this study were 220 K-POP fans in Indonesia. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measuring instrument used in this study was the Celebrioty Attitude Scale (CAS) put forward by Maltby, et al (2002). The validity test was carried out using the correlated item total correlation technique using the IBM SPSS Statistics 16 for windows software. The results of the study show that the majority of K-POP fans in Indonesia have a moderate level of Celebrity Worship which can be seen from the results of the categorization that has been carried out. In addition, it can also be seen that gender, age, type of purchases related to idols, time spent on idols and the amount of media used for idols do not determine the level of celebrity worship among K-POP fans.
