High levels of poverty and economic inequality are significant problems in 3-4 Ulu village , Palembang. This has a negative impact on access to education, housing, and health services. In addition, unemployment and crime are also serious social challenges in the village 3-4 Ulu area. This research is important to gain an in-depth understanding of the changes and challenges faced by the community in the 2010-2020 timeframe in the 3-4 Ulu Village, Palembang. The research methodology uses a historical approach, allowing researchers to trace social and economic developments over the period. The data used comes from primary and secondary data derived from various sources, used to obtain relevant information, and data analysis is carried out to identify patterns of change and factors that play a role. To overcome the problems encountered in the field, this research tries to provide suggestions and recommendations on several policies and efforts that can be made. Economic empowerment through skills training and support for UMKM can improve people's standard of living. Infrastructure needs to be improved, slums must be considered, and access to education and health needs to be improved so that community welfare can increase. This research provides a comprehensive picture of socio-economic life in the 3-4 Ulu Village during the period 2010-2020. The changes that have occurred and the challenges faced by the community are the main focus. With an in-depth understanding of these issues, it is hoped that steps to improve and increase welfare can be taken effectively and sustainably. Thus, this research has important value in improving the social and economic conditions of the community in 3-4 Ulu Village , and can serve as a reference for similar research and efforts in other areas.
