MONITORING PERUBAHAN GARIS PANTAI PULAU MASPARI, SUMATERA SELATAN MENGGUNAKAN CITRA SENTINEL 2A DENGAN METODE NORMALIZED DIFFERENCE WATER INDEX
Maspari island has a relatively high level of dynamics caused by prolonged mixing of freshwater masses from the mainland with sea water. The coastline tends to have a dynamic nature and its position can undergo changes that can be caused by currents, coastal slopes, waves and tides. The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in shorelines using Sentinel-2A images on the coast of Maspari Island from 2016, 2019 to 2022 and assess how accurate satellite imagery data in analyzing shorelines when compared to conditions in the field. The method used in this study is the overlay method to see changes in the coastline. The results of this study showed that the abrasion area of Maspari Island from 2016 to 2019 was 9837.24 m², while the accretion area reached a total of 1236.62 m², while from 2019 to 2022 the total abrasion area was 2754.53 m² and the total accretion area reached 15764.88 m².
