This thesis aims to analyze the ability of students to solve higher order thinking skill (HOTS) questions on CBT-assisted circular motion material at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a sample of 32 students of class XI IPA. The data was obtained through a multiple choice type test accompanied by reasons to determine students' HOTS abilities. The results showed that students' high-level thinking skills tend to be classified as very low with a percentage of 0% in the high category, 42.4% in the medium category and 57.6% in the low category. This shows that the high-level thinking skills of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang students are low. Students were able to answer questions but were unable to explain their reasons for choosing the multiple choice. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide information about students' higher-order thinking skills in circular motion material and can be used as a reference for improving students' higher-order thinking skills.
