AKUMULASI LOGAM BERAT CU DAN PB PADA SEDIMEN DAN BENTOS DI PESISIR TAMAN NASIONAL SEMBILANG, SUMATRA SELATAN
The area of the Sembilang National Park is an area located on the East Coast of South Sumatra. Activities in the waters of the Sembilang National Park have the potential to reduce water quality and increase concentrations of the heavy metals Pb and Cu. The purpose of this study was to analyze the concentration of heavy metals Cu and Pb in sediments and macrozoobenthos (Anadara granosa and Cerithidea cingulata). This research was carried out in September 2022 in the waters of the Sembilang National Park. The method used is purposive sampling. Heavy metal analysis using AAS type AA-7000. The results showed that the heavy metal Cu in the sediment ranged from 5.08 – 5.46 mg/kg and Pb ranged from 10.51 – 11.51 mg/kg. The heavy metal Cu in macrozoobenthos ranges from 0.0057-0.0147 mg/kg and Pb ranges from 0.0001 – 0.005 mg/kg. Based on the ANZECC criteria, the concentrations of heavy metals Pb and Cu in sediments still meet the quality standards (50 mg/kg and 65 mg/kg). Based on the criteria of the Director General of POM, the concentrations of heavy metals Pb and Cu in macrozoobenthos still meet the required quality standards, namely 2 mg/kg for Pb and 20 mg/kg for Cu.
