Nutrients are very important for the growth of an organism in the water. The entry of waste or waste products can reduce the quality of waters leading to an increase in nutrient concentrations in the water column. This study aims to determine the condition of nutrients in water and sediment and analyze the condition of Payung Island Waters. Sampling was carried out in September 2022 at 5 research stations using purposive sampling method. Analysis of nitrate and phosphate in succession with brucine sulfate metote, SNI 06-2480-1991 and SNI 6989.31-2015. Nitrate analysis in sediments used the Bruan Method and phosphate analysis referred to the SNI 19-2483-1991 method. The results showed that the nitrate concentration in Payung Island Waters ranged from 1.7-2.8 mg/l (average 2.28 mg/l), and the phosphate concentration ranged from 0.25 - 0.48 mg/l (average 0.328mg/l). Nitrate concentrations in Payung Island sediments ranged from 24.69-40.41 mg/kg, (average 32.48 mg/kg) and phosphate ranged from 1.15 - 1.54 mg/kg (average 1.37 mg/kg).
