DETERMINAN PRODUKTIVITAS TENAGA KERJA INDUSTRI MANUFAKTUR BESAR DAN SEDANG DI PULAU SUMATERA
The manufacturing industry sector, to date is the leading sector in national economic development with the largest contribution to the Indonesian economy. This study covers 10 provinces on the island of Sumatera with the aim of analyzing the determinants of labor productivity in large and medium industries in all provinces on the island of Sumatra for the 2015-2020 period. Using panel data regression, the results of the analysis show that the Fixed Effect Model is the best method for this study. The results showed that the labor productivity of the manufacturing industry on Sumatera Island tended to increase, although in Lampung province productivity tended to be stable, the highest average industrial labor productivity was in the province of North Sumatra, and the lowest was in the province of Bengkulu. Real wages and HDI significantly have the same positive effect on the labor productivity of large and medium manufacturing industries on Sumatera Island.
