DAYA SAING KOPI INDONESIA TERHADAP NEGARA TUJUAN UTAMA DAN FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI.
Coffee is one of Indonesia's leading agricultural commodities, with the fourth largest production in the world. 98 percent of its land is dominated by smallholder plantations, and 28.61 percent of the population works in the agricultural sector. However, the value and volume of Indonesian coffee exports have continued to decline from 2012 to 2021. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in 5 major destination countries and to identify the factors that affect the volume of Indonesian coffee exports to these 5 countries. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of panel data from 2015 to 2022 for RCA calculations and the period 2008 to 2022 for panel data regression analysis, with the coverage of major destination countries, namely the United States, Egypt, Spain, Malaysia, and Japan. This data is sourced from the International Coffee Organization (ICO), Trademap, Worldbank, and Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). This study uses two quantitative approaches, namely Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) and panel data regression. The results of the RCA analysis show that processed Indonesian coffee has a strong competitive advantage in all major destination countries with an RCA value > 1. Panel data regression shows that export prices and real exchange rates have a significant and negative effect on export volume. Meanwhile, economic distance has a significant and positive effect on export volume.
