UJI AKTIVITAS HAIR SERUM NANOPARTIKEL EKSTRAK DAUN TEH (CAMELLIA SINENSIS L.) SEBAGAI PENUMBUH RAMBUT PADA KELINCI PUTIH JANTAN
Hair serum is one of the cosmetic preparations that has a high concentration of active ingredients so that its effectiveness can be felt faster. Tea leaves contain about 42% polyphenolic compounds in the form of catechins that can stimulate cell proliferation in hair dermal papilla cells by suppressing the production of Tumour Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-alpha) that triggers baldness. This study aims to determine the effect of Carbopol 934® variations with concentrations of 0.8%, 0.87%, and 1% on the preparation of Hair Serum nanoparticles of tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis L.) and the activity on hair growth in male white rabbit. The study was conducted by formulating a preparation of hair serum nanoparticles of tea leaf extract, then an evaluation of the preparation was carried out followed by activity tests on male white rabbits which were divided into 4 groups treatment, that is K1 (normal control), K2 (negative control (base)), K3 (positive control (minoxidil)) and K4 (hair serum). The results showed that increasing the concentration of Carbopol 934® affected the increasing viscosity and texture of the preparation. The best formulation is produced by F2 that meets all preparation evaluation requirements for further testing. Based on the test of hair growth activity at week 4 between groups K1, K2, K3, and K4 there was a significant difference as well as for hair weight (p
