ANALISIS PENGARUH RATA-RATA LAMA SEKOLAH, UMUR HARAPAN HIDUP DAN PENDAPATAN PERKAPITA PENDUDUK TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI PROVINSI DI PULAU SUMATERA
This research aims to determine the influence of average length of schooling, life expectancy, and per capita income on the economic growth of provinces in Sumatra Island. The study utilizes secondary data in the form of time series data from 2010 to 2021 and cross-sectional data consisting of 10 provinces in Sumatra Island. The analytical technique used is panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model method. The research findings indicate that the variable of life expectancy (UHH) has a negative and significant impact on economic growth in Sumatra Island, while the variables of average length of schooling (RLS) and per capita income (PKP) do not have a significant influence on economic growth in Sumatra Island. High life expectancy, if not accompanied by an increase in human productivity, will have a negative impact on economic growth in Sumatra Island. Additionally, the relatively low average length of schooling and per capita income are unable to directly affect economic growth, thus requiring improvement through various efforts by the respective provincial governments.
