OPTIMASI KONSENTRASI TWEEN 80 DAN ETANOL 96% DALAM SEDIAAN NANOEMULSI DAUN SAMBILOTO (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Wall. Ex Ness) SEBAGAI AGEN FOTOPROTEKTIF
Sambiloto leaves extract (Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Wall. Ex Ness) contains andrographolid and flavonoid main secondary metabolites which have potential as ultraviolet radiation protection and antioxidant activity as photoprotective agents. This research aims to determine the optimization of Tween 80 and Ethanol 96% concentrations to increase their photoprotective and stability. Optimization was carried out using a factorial design 22 method using Design Expert 12® on evaluation of nanoemulsion preparations. The optimum formula obtained is then determined by value the SPF (Sun Protection Factor), antioxidant activity using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-pikrihidrazyl) method, characterizing the PSA (Particle Size Analyzer) test and stability testing using the cycling method and centrifugation test. The optimum formula for the Sambiloto leaves extract nanoemulsion with a concentration ratio of Tween 80 and Ethanol 96% is 25%:25%, obtained a globule size is 112.120 ± 35.652 nm, PDI is 0.225 ± 0.026 and zeta potential is -22.2 ± 1.411 mV. Centrifugation test results showed no phase separation. The results of the cycling test showed a decrease in pH, specific gravity, and percent transmittance which were not significantly different (p>0.05). The optimum formula for the Sambiloto leaves extract nanoemulsion showed potential results as a photoprotective agent with an SPF value of 40.081 ± 0.180 and an IC50 of 101.258 ± 2.223 ppm, having good globule size characteristics and stable based on the results of the cycling test and centrifugation test.
