PENGARUH PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN STEAM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS, AND MATHEMATICS) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN PPKn KELAS VIII DI SMP NEGERI 1 INDRALAYA
This study aims to determine the effect of the STEAM learning approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) on students' critical thinking skills in Civics class VIII subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya. this research uses a quantitative approach with the Pre-Experiment Design method with the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study were all VIII classes totaling 225 students with a sample of VIII 1 class totaling 33 people. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using documentation and tests. The study showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes seen from the average value of the pretest results which was 46.52 including the poor category and the posttest results increased with an average value of 86,06 including in the good category with an N-gain value of 0.75 including in the effective improvement category. Then based on the results of the Paired Samples T-test hypothesis test, the significance value (2-tailed) shows 0.00 which means that the value is smaller than 0.05. So if the significance of 0.00
