ANALISIS KETIMPANGAN PENDAPATAN (STUDI KASUS: PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN).
Income inequality is a socioeconomic phenomenon that refers to the extent to which income distribution in a region is uneven, and this study aims to analyze the factors that contribute to income inequality in South Sumatra Province in the period 2018 to 2021 with a focus on the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI), Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), and GDP Percapita. The method used in this study is a panel data regression analysis technique with data sources coming from the Central Statistics Agency. The results showed that the Human Development Index (HDI) has a positive and significant influence on income inequality in South Sumatra Province. Meanwhile, the variable Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) per capita has a negative, but not significant influence on income inequality. Similarly, the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) has a positive, but not significant influence on income inequality in South Sumatra province.
