This research is motivated by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Regulation Number 9 of 2021 concerning guidelines for sustainable tourism destinations. The government and local governments must be able to build sustainable tourist destinations in accordance with the standards of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and have received recognition from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), in responding to the challenges of developing the tourism sector, especially the emphasis on the issue of local wisdom in Indonesia and Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability issues which are anticipatory measures for the spread of the Covid-19 virus. This research was conducted in Burai Village, Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative methods. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data, while the data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses the concept of strategic management according to Fred R. David indicators of Policy Implementation. The results of this study indicate that the management of developing tourist destinations in Burai Village has been going well although it is still in the pioneering stage. Burai Village has been designated as a Tourism Village in Ogan Ilir Regency through the Regent's Decree Number: 457 /KEP/DISPORPA/2021 and the Burai Village government continues to strive to maintain tourist destinations in Burai Village. Suggestions related to the research findings should the tourism manager in Burai Village set a target number of visits and continue to be consistent in promoting through social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tiktok.
