This research is entitled "Community Resilience to Face Floods (Study in 8 Ilir Village Palembang City)". This study aims to determine the level of community resilience to floods, as well as to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of community resilience. The flood disaster that occurred in Kelurahan 8 Ilir Palembang City almost inundated the protocal road access and several houses with a height of up to one meter and there has been no effort or assistance provided from the government. This has a look at uses Susan L. Cutter’s Resilience concept which consists of four aspects to determine the level of resilience of a network in going through failures. These aspects are in the form of social aspects, economic aspects, infrastructure aspects and institutional aspects. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive model. Statistics collection is primary data and secondary data thru observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that people are used to flood disasters and continue to carry out activities as usual because the only floods that occur are city floods or river overflows when rainfall is high. The conclusion of this research is that community resilience in facing floods in Subdistrict 8 Ilir, Palembang City is still lack and has not been successful.
